I am so excited to be a part of this blog hop today with 20 of my favorite blogging friends sharing gorgeous ideas for Thanksgiving table settings. I don’t know about you guys, but even if I don’t host thanksgiving, I still find myself cooking thanksgiving dinner for my own family a week or so before because they like the leftovers. lol! I guess I can’t blame them. Left over turkey sandwiches with this killer cranberry sauce and orange rolls isn’t the worst thing to have around the house…well, except maybe for our waistlines. 😉

I always love to find ways to create a table that makes a big impact, but doesn’t cost a fortune. I do have one expensive weakness when it comes to a table setting though…fresh flowers. Eek! I was at Trader Joe’s the other day checking out the flower section (always my first stop!) trying to figure out the perfect centerpiece, when I happened to spy a bunch of herbs out of the corner of my eye, and BAM! This thanksgiving table setting idea was decided.
Having just made this yummy stuffing the other day using fresh thyme and sage, it made total sense. Fresh herbs are a great way to celebrate the season and I was able to load up the table with pretty, fresh greens for under $25! Now that is a deal! Even better, I can gift the pots or herbs or keep them and use them to cook. I love a multi-purpose centerpiece. 😉
I added the small herbs to small white pots that I had and the larger basil plants in other white pots to coordinate.
I didn’t want to hide the gorgeous wood of the dining room table so I just used a cute, natural runner. I bought mine some time ago at HomeGoods, but this linen one with the frayed edges would be so pretty too!
I have collected these gold candlesticks (they go with everything) and they were the perfect addition to the table for some warmth and light, along with some votives.
I like to change up our dishes with each table I set and Crate and Barrel is often my go-to for dishes! These blue layered a dark dinner plate with a lighter blue salad plate is such a pretty combo! I like the mix of textures too.
I hesitated to get gold silverware because I was fairly certain I would be tired of it after a month…well, over a year later I love it more than ever and use it for practically every table setting I ever create! lol! I love this set.
Simple linen napkins tied with a knot in the middle were the perfect neutral to add to the blue plates. Sticking with the organic feel of everything, I used these cute little tree trunk place card holders. Love them!
