    General troubleshooting steps

    (Error Codes ASR, RST, E01, E02, E03, E04, E05, E06, E07, E08, E09, E010, E011, E012)

    1. Check that all cables are securely connected to the control box and that the desk has power. If you're not sure the outlet has power, try plugging something else into that outlet to confirm that it's working.
    2. Check for obstructions. Confirm there is nothing obstructing the desk's motion, clearing out anything too close‒above, below, or beside it.
    3. Does your desk move slightly and then reverse direction? This motion is an important feature of the anti-collision safety system. Due to the sensitivity of our anti-collision system, a cord that is too tight or caught on something is a common cause of desks reversing like this.
      To resolve this issue:
      1. Your control box must be attached firmly to either your desktop or frame. If it is dangling by a cord or not secured, the anti-collision feature is falsely triggered and your desk won't move properly.
      2. Look for anything that might be obstructing the desk's movement up or down.
      3. Check for tight cords pulling on the desk frame or desktop. This can be overlooked if the cords were not tight prior to the desk height being adjusted.
      4. Adjust the anti-collision sensitivity, check the programming instructions.
    4. The control box should be connected as shown below.

How to reset an UPLIFT Desk

Before you first use your UPLIFT Desk, we recommend that you perform a quick reset. Resetting the desk calibrates the legs so that they are in sync with each other electrically and in length. Also, most desk issues and errors are resolved by performing the reset procedure. 70% all control boxes returned to us for replacement exhibit issues that would have been resolved by resetting the desk!

    • Quick Reset Instructions

      1. Hold the DOWN button until the desk reaches its lowest height and then release the button (for the Advanced Paddle Keypad, hold the paddle down).
Pro tip: If your desk doesn't start to move after pressing the DOWN button, release the DOWN button and try again.
      2. Hold the DOWN button again for 30 seconds and then release (Note: if you have an Advanced Keypad it will display "ASR"; the Basic 2-Button Keypad does not have a display; the Advanced Paddle Keypad will display "RESET")
      3. Hold the DOWN button again until the desk lowers slightly, then rises slightly, then release the button. If the desk didn't move try this step again. The movement means the desk reset was successful. Your desk is now reset and ready to use! If the desk isn't operating properly please proceed to the next step.
    • Thorough Reset Instructions

      1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
      2. Discharge stored power in the control box by holding the DOWN button for 10 seconds.
      3. Unplug the power cord and keypad cable from the control box, then firmly plug them back in to ensure a proper connection.
      4. Look at your control box to determine which of the corresponding instructions to follow in the next two steps.

      1. If you have the type of control box with a M1 port on top of the control box that looks like this, then:

            1. Slide out the control box from the desk frame, and rotate it 180 degrees and slide it onto the opposite frame end, so that the ports are on opposite sides from where they were originally.
            2. Connect the leg cable that is now closest to the M2 port.
            3. Connect the leg cable that is now closest to the M1 port into the leg extension cable.
            4. Proceed to step f and skip the next instructions that apply to the other type of control box.

      2. If you have the type of control box with all straight ports that looks like this:

          4. Reconnect the leg cable that is now closest to the M2 Port.
      1. Double-check that you've reattached the control box to the desk frame to prevent the anti-collision system from being falsely triggered.
      2. Confirm all cable connections are firmly inserted into the control box.
      3. Plug the desk back into an electrical outlet.

Control Box Overheated (H01 Error Code on Advanced Keypads)

The desk motor has a 10% duty cycle, which protects it from overheating. For example, in a 20 minute period, if you activate your desk motor for two minutes, it needs to rest for the remaining 18 minutes. Simply let your desk rest for 18 minutes, and then try again.

UPLIFT Desk Wobble & Stability Improvements

If your UPLIFT Desk wobbles or moves too much while using it, follow these instructions to make sure your desk is properly assembled to mitigate any wobbling. All height adjustable desks are subject to some wobble if enough pressure is exerted onto them, as the desktop is not connected to an immoble desk frame. The design of UPLIFT Desks make them some of the most sturdy and reliable standing desks on the market, but if they're not assembled correctly, they will not perform at their best.

Make sure all screws and bolts are tight!

    1. Check the screws used to fasten the desktop to the desk frame. If there are any screws loose that keep the desktop firmly attached to the desk frame, it can cause an imbalance and exacerbate any wobble.
    2. Check the bolts attaching the feet to the lifting columns (legs). These are the most likely to come loose over time as the attachment from the foot to the leg is where the most leverage is, resulting in compounding movement the further up the desk you go. Most of the time, if there is wobble on a desk at the seated height, the bolts on the feet are the culprit.
    3. Check the bolts attaching the side brackets and crossbar ends. These are the bolts on the outside to the left and right sides of the desk going in through the side bracket into the crossbar end. Then check the bolts going in from the crossbar end into the lifting column (or leg) itself.
    4. If the feet are tightened up and you've checked all 8 bolts on both sides of the top of the frame, there is a slim chance that the connection between the lifting columns isn't secure.
